Dichroic Mirrors (Longpass)

Dichroic Mirrors (Longpass)

Longpass dichroic mirrors reflect a band of shorter wavelengths and transmit longer wavelengths. They split or combine beams of different colours, for example separating excitation and emission light in fluorescence set-ups or combining two lasers.

Key specifications

  • Reflection R > 99 % across the reflection band; transmission T > 90 % across the transmission band
  • Ø12.5 mm mounted as standard; 12.5 mm unmounted and 25 mm / 50.8 mm versions available
  • Substrate thickness 1.1, 2 or 3 mm

How to choose

Look up your wavelengths in the Reflection Range and Transmission Range columns: the wavelength to be reflected must sit inside the reflection range, and the one to be passed inside the transmission range. Dichroic mirrors are used at an angle to the beam; ask us if your angle of incidence is unusual.
